Meet Kaitlyn

MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST
LCSW (ND), LICSW (MN)

I’m Kaitlyn, a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with experience in the helping field since 2013. I received my bachelor's degree at MSUM and then went on to earn my master's degree at UND. My experience in the helping profession began working with individuals with developmental disabilities,  and  then after graduation I started providing individual therapy and crisis support in school-based and primary care settings.

Since 2021, I’ve been at Creative Spirit Counseling, supporting adolescents through young adults with trauma, depression, anxiety, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, and more. My approach is collaborative, creative, and whole person focused. I meet you where you are and help you explore your path to healing.

I aim to create a warm, welcoming, and flexible environment. Sessions with me are real, authentic, and sometimes sprinkled with humor, all while encouraging you to come as you are. Therapy doesn’t have to be rigid, it can be a space to grow, explore, and even have some fun along the way.

Outside of work, I share my life with my husband and our two doodles, Kirbee and Oliver. I also enjoy reading, traveling, creating random art projects, and spending time outdoors.

Areas of Focus:

  • Adolescents and Young Adults

  • Trauma, Depression, and Anxiety

  • Life Transitions and Self-Esteem Concerns

  • EMDR & Trauma-Focused CBT
