Mental Health Therapist

Ashley Olson, LMSW

Ashley Olson is a Licensed Master Social Worker who earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees in social work from the University of North Dakota. Prior to pursuing clinical social work, Ashley spent many years working in social services, advocacy, leadership, and long-term care- experiences that shaped her belief that every person has a story worth understanding.

Ashley believes therapy should be a place where you don't have to pretend to have it all together. She brings warmth, humor, curiosity, and authenticity to her work and wants her clients to feel comfortable being their whole selves- including the messy, complicated, funny, and imperfect parts. Ashley draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), adapting her approach to each person's individual needs and goals.

Ashley has a particular passion for supporting and empowering women as they navigate self-worth, relationships, boundaries, identity, life transitions, and personal growth. She also enjoys working with children and adolescents, older adults, and Veterans. She strives to create a space where clients feel safe being themselves, wherever they are in their journey.

Outside of the therapy room, Ashley enjoys spending time with her teenagers (when they have time for her, of course!) and loving on her pets. She enjoys true-crime podcasts and documentaries, along with audiobooks across a variety of genres. She appreciates a good laugh, doesn't take herself too seriously, and believes there is something valuable about being able to show up as a real, imperfect, slightly quirky human being.
